The department of intervention is exquisitely equipped with five advanced digital subtraction angiography (DSA) instruments, which include GE 630 Biplane, GE IGC 520 Coronary, Siemens Artis Zee Biplane, Philip Allura Xper FD20/20 and Siemens Axiom Artis dTA. The annual treated patients in the department reaches approximately 9,000 with the spectrum of intervention varying from cerebrovascular, peripheral, cardiovascular system to tumor intervention.

By serving as an operative platform for the department of neurosurgery, department of intervention is ranked as one of the top 3 centers in mainland China and even distinguished in the world due to its high-volume recruitment of patients and excellent outcome of treatment. The department of intervention is featured with advanced endovascular treatment and is devoted to treat patient with acute ischemic stroke, intracranial atherosclerotic stenosis, carotid stenosis, intracranial aneurysm, and brain and spinal arteriovenous malformation. The number and quality indexes of treatment have exceeded the level of domestic medical centers and is favorably comparable with international colleagues.

In particular, department of intervention boasts its outstanding performance in the endovascular treatment of patients with spinal cord vascular malformation and intracranial atherosclerotic stenosis.
